The lab provides a hands-on environment allowing users to create a multi-node Kubernetes cluster. Users can apply various configurations such as RBAC, Network Policies, Namespaces, and deploy CNFs to simulate real-world Telco Cloud orchestration and automation scenarios.
Why this Lab ?
This project challenges users to apply their knowledge of Kubernetes in a telecom context by deploying, orchestrating, and managing containerized network functions (CNFs) in a simulated Telco Cloud environment. Participants will work through real-world scenarios involving multi-tenant networking, service deployment, and automation to validate their practical skills in telco-grade orchestration.
Lab Objectives
- Applying Kubernetes concepts in a Telco Cloud environment and understanding their role in 5G architectures.
- Deploying and managing Pods, Services, Deployments, and Namespaces for telecom-grade orchestration.
- Handling dynamic configurations and persistent storage using ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Volumes.
- Enforcing security through RBAC, Network Policies, and access controls.
- Automating deployments with Helm for scalable and declarative application management.
